My name is Peter Cadney.
I specialise in stress reduction, pain relief and relaxation using acupressure, meditation and sound.
In an Acupressure session I work gently on pressure points, muscles, joints and circulation to bring your mind and body into balance. Each session lasts from 60-90 minutes and takes place on a special padded mat on the floor. You will remain fully clothed and each treatment is tailored to meet your specific needs.
I use Bio-Dynamic Breath Work with people to help free their physical, emotional and mental blockages which can result in postural imbalance, chronic tension in the body, depression, anxiety and other mental/emotional problems.

"Pete introduced me to sound therapy and Acupressure. I can only describe the whole experience as amazing. Pete has a very calm presence and is a naturally gifted healer. His dedication to his practice promotes a wisdom that is reassuringly insightful and comforting. He helped me gain confidence in healing myself through his knowledge of both sound and Acupressure therapy. Because of Pete I was able to come off my medication which I had been taking for a long time.
I will be forever grateful for the compassion he showed me when I was going through a difficult time. He has helped me immensely. I highly recommend him. Thanks Pete :)"
Rebecca Burn Manchester, UK
"Pete has such an incredible, calming energy and he makes me feel so relaxed. Acupressure with him is like nothing I've ever experienced before. It's like a journey through the senses that leaves me feeling totally at peace but also energised and more motivated than ever! After seeing Pete I feel as though I can see more clearly the direction I want to be going in. I feel more alive and awake and I'm so grateful to Pete for that. I look forward to continuing the journey and learning more about myself in the process :)"

"I would highly recommend an Acupressure massage from Pete! He made me feel completely relaxed, at ease and truly connected with him and my surroundings. I felt elated, calm and content during and after my massage. What's magical about Pete, is that he has a natural empathic and sensitive nature of meeting you on your level and considering your needs with a non judgemental and non invasive approach. I believe this quality and balance is quite difficult to find, yet is paramount in making progress during any kind of therapy. Whether you need pain relief, an energy release or a way to relax, I would say Pete's form of therapy is beneficial for absolutely everyone!"

"It was Pete who gave me my first Acupressure massage and it was the beginning of a special journey for me. Although I didn't know what to expect Pete has a wonderfully calming presence and I immediately felt safe and at ease in the room. The treatment itself was full of new sensations, I felt ripples of energy move and expand around my body..thoughts slowed down and time seemed to melt away :) it's hard to explain but I left feeling incredibly present, open and very much 'in' my body. I also had the best night's sleep I'd had in months. Working with Pete offers me new ways to soften and heal, it's opened a door to myself :) Thank you!"
David Mycock Manchester, UK
"I always look forward to my Acupressure massage. Whether it's an aching back or a busy mind, Pete always seems able to 'fix me'. I find I leave the studio feeling more centred and more balanced and this seems to push outward to all areas of my life. Really glad I found Acupressure and really pleased it is Pete who delivers it."
Lucy Francis Manchester, UK
"My session with Pete allowed me to feel reconnected and rebalanced with myself. I was feeling weak and lost and afterwards felt energised and focused. Pete puts so much into the session and is professional and skilled. My tuning therapy was nothing short of amazing and I felt the effects of it for some time after. Wonderful!"

- Have a deeper connection to self
Free guided meditation:
This meditation was shared with me by one of my teachers - Russel Williams, "one of the most remarkable enlightened spiritual teachers of our time" - Steve Taylor.
Russel had avoided publicity and never published any writings or transcripts of his talks, preferring to work quietly with small groups. However, in 2015 at the age of 94, Russel agreed to work with well-known spiritual author Steve Taylor and for the first time shared details of his teachings and of his life to be published in print. His book is partly a record of his teachings, and partly also the story of his extraordinary life.

"Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts."
– Thích Nhất Hạnh
Throughout life, as a result of difficult circumstances and situations, we construct layers of physical, emotional and mental resistance, which can result in postural imbalance, tension and pain in the body, depression, anxiety, unhealthy emotional patterns and many other symptoms.
Breath work is designed to free these layers of resistance and holding patterns by giving the body and mind the opportunity to surrender, expand and release in a safe and confidential space. This space allows a deep opening within which participant's true growth and healing potential can manifest and enables the development of a direct mind-body-spirit connection. This connection can encourage participants to experience the full range of sensations and emotions available to a human being, whilst expanding their capacity to support and contain the free flow of healing life-force energy.
Some of the many benefits of a breath work session include:
- Inner peace and calm
- Resolving the impact of past trauma
- Improved concentration
- Reduced stress, anxiety & depression
- Breaking addiction
- Increased energy levels
- Being able to make positive changes in your life
- Increased creativity
I hold public breath work workshops every month in Manchester, as well as on a one to one basis in London and Manchester. Find out about the next Breathwork Class or find out more about other breath work in Manchester you can visit The Manchester Breath Work Group.

“Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.”
— Gautama Buddha
A deeply relaxing treatment using specially designed instruments that retune the nervous system. Ideal for people who are constantly on the go and find it hard to slow down or relax. A sound treatment allows the nervous system to switch into neutral in order to 'change gears', the effect of which is profoundly peaceful and relaxing, sometimes it is all that's needed for the body and/or mind to heal and regain balance.
Dr. Mitchell Gaynor M.D. is a leading oncologist who uses sound and singing in his clinical practice. To quote his revolutionary book, The Healing Power of Sound (Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D. 1999)
"our biology cannot simply be reduced to genetic switches being turned on and off, because virtually every bodily action occurs simultaneously with thoughts, feelings, hormonal changes, immune system modifications, the release of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides, changes in cell receptors, fluctuations in biologic energies, and countless other transformations. This perspective goes by many names - holism, psychosomatic medicine, complementary medicine, mind-body interactions, and perhaps most tellingly, psycho-neuroimmunology. But it is beginning to take hold, because the very tools high-tech scientists have used to understand molecular biology are revealing that mind-body communication occurs on the deepest levels of cellular function.”
Studies have shown that sound therapy can produce beneficial responses such as:
- Reduced anxiety
- Reduced cardiac complications
- Increased levels of immune cell messenger molecules
- Drop in stress hormones that activate our body’s fight-or-flight response
- Boosting endorphins, “the brain’s natural painkillers” which strengthen the immune system

I base my work on the philosophy that in order for a change to occur a space is needed within which a change can take place; be it in the environment in which we place ourselves, the anatomy and physiology of the body or thoughts, feelings, emotions and memories.
